Are you on the fence about pursuing a GED? If you come to our program and perform your duties, you'll get paid a check for the hours you give. The check is actually a stipend you receive to off-set your costs for participating in the program, i.e. transportation, meals, etc.
On top of that, we reward you with a huge bonus when you finally complete the GED exam.
We are committed to ensuring the students of our community have a fair shot, but we understand that money is important. This is only the tip of the iceberg of what you get from our program.
We not only incentivize you for good performance but we also offer industry recognized certifications for free. These certifications could cost as much as $700+ outside of YouthBuild.
Participants who fulfill their AmeriCorps service obligations and register for the National Service Trust have the opportunity to obtain the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award, which amounts to $1,824.
