Youth Services

ASPIRE Summer Youth Employment Program

ASPIRE (Academy of Success, Pride, Inspiration, Respect and Excellence) Summer Youth Employment Program serves middle and high school youth ages 15 – 18 who are Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) eligible and/or residents of the City of Poughkeepsie.  Participants are assigned to work with younger youth as peer counselors or with our Master Gardener learning gardening/landscaping skills.  When possible, the ASPIRE summer program incorporates project-based learning opportunities and information technology competency designed to enhance academics, social skills, and career development skills.
